It is important to understand the fire safety arrangements for your building. In the event of a fire, you may be instructed to ‘Stay Put’, remaining safely inside your home with your doors closed and then call London Fire Services, or to ‘Get Out’, leaving the building if it’s safe to do so, and moving to a place of safety before calling the London Fire Services.
You can find your building’s evacuation plan/ fire action instructions displayed in the communal areas. If you are unsure, it’s unclear, or you have any questions, please contact SHA for further information.
Your safety is the priority. Never put yourself at risk to tackle a fire, or re-enter a building once you have left.
SHA staff have prepared this Fire Safety Information guide to help you stay safe and understand both SHA’s and the residents’ responsibilities.
Simple everyday actions can significantly reduce the risk of fire and help keep you, your household and your neighbours safe.
