Sky Q & fibre broadband

Helpful information if you are planning to upgrade to Sky Q or your internet connection to fibre.

Sky Q

Some residents have been experiencing television signal problems. This may be caused by residents trying to upgrade to the new Sky Q package. Sky Q is a television platform and set-top box service provided by Sky, a British satellite television provider. It offers a range of features and services to enhance the TV viewing experience. While we appreciate that Sky Q is potentially an attractive upgrade from the basic Sky HD system, it operates differently and, unfortunately, is not presently compatible with all our communal television and satellite systems.

Some of our older satellite systems have recently been replaced, and these will work with Sky Q, and all the new installations will work with Sky Q as well. However, we will only replace systems when they are no longer usable or passed their use date. Where our systems are presently working efficiently, residents in these homes will have to wait until system upgrades occur.

If you were planning to upgrade to Sky Q, please get in touch with Sky first to find out if the satellite system at your property will allow you to make the change.

Sky Q will work with different Broadband suppliers.

Fibre broadband

Fibre broadband, also known as fibre-optic broadband or simply “fibre”, is a high-speed internet connection that uses fibre-optic cables to transmit data. It offers faster and more reliable internet speeds than traditional broadband technologies like DSL or cable.

Please check with your Fibre broadband provider to see if it is available and compatible with your area. Here are some popular fibre broadband suppliers:
