Cost of living crisis
It is important to remember that you are not alone and that there are resources available to help you navigate a cost of living crisis.
Help with the cost-of-living crisis
Essential food and bill costs have increased dramatically, reducing people’s disposable income and being referred to as the cost-of-living crisis. In combination with the increases in gas, heating and water bills, this impacts individuals, families and communities already suffering multiple inequalities and those most in need.
Many of our residents fall into this category, so we are doing our best to help them and signpost them to local and national government support schemes. We don’t want you to suffer, so please call one of our staff members if you need clarification, require translation, or fill in an application form — SHA is here to help you.
We understand that some may experience financial difficulties, please call or email us so we can try and help or put you in touch with someone who can.
Please note that your monthly rent and bills will still need to be paid on time because, as a housing provider, SHA must also consider the costs of running services for all our customers. We constantly review any increases with our consultants and reduce costs where possible.
